f you've ever wondered whether a 3D printer is worth buying twice — try building the same one five times over two years and get back to me. The Longer LK5 has been a staple in my shop for a while now, and this is build number five. Not because I keep breaking them (well... mostly), but because once you're in the 3D printing rabbit hole, you stop asking "why" and just start asking "what's next." In this video I walk you through the full build process — unboxing, assembly, calibration, first print — the whole nine yards. There are a few mishaps along the way because that's just real life in the shop, and I don't believe in cutting out the parts where things don't go perfectly. Whether you're thinking about getting into 3D printing for the first time or you've already got a machine and you're eyeing your next one, hopefully this gives you a good feel for what building one of these actually looks like from start to finish.
